I like hikes! I tend to plan hikes in the 5-mile to 15-mile range. These hikes are a way to socialize, or just commit to getting outdoors and exercising! During these hikes we mozy, averaging about 1-1/2 miles an hour with breaks.
All that I ask is you commit to having a positive attitude, show up on time, follow common trail courtesy, and the principles of Leave No Trace!
I like backpacking. There's something about waking up in the morning, having some breakfast and coffee, then walking for a while while taking in the view, only to do it again the next day that appeals to me. While I'm no through-hiker, I consider myself experienced, and I've introduced dozens of other people to the experience.
